Megan Rapinoe is the openly leftist and openly gay co-captain of the US Women’s Soccer team.
When it comes to the pitch, Megan knows what she’s doing.
When it comes to politics or showing how proud she is to be an American, Megan needs some help.
It wasn’t that long ago that Rapinoe took a knee before a game in “solidarity” with failed NFL quarterback, Colin Kaepernick.
Now, Rapinoe is taking things a step further.
From Daily Wire:
The co-captain of the United States Women’s national soccer team, Megan Rapinoe, told Yahoo Sports, “I’ll probably never put my hand over my heart. I’ll probably never sing the national anthem again,” boasting that she is “a walking protest when it comes to the Trump administration,” because of “everything I stand for.” She added, “I feel like it’s kind of defiance in and of itself to just be who I am and wear the jersey, and represent it. Because I’m as talented as I am, I get to be here, you don’t get to tell me if I can be here or not. So it’s kind of a good ‘F you’ to any sort of inequality or bad sentiments that the [Trump] administration might have towards people who don’t look exactly like him. Which, God help us if we all looked like him. Scary. Really scary. Ahh, disturbing.”
According to Yahoo Sports, Rapinoe views President Trump as “sexist,” “misogynistic,” “small-minded,” “racist” and “not a good person.” Yahoo quotes Rapinoe saying the Trump administration doesn’t “value all Americans equally,” and the United States is troubled with “atrocities … extreme poverty … homelessness … mass incarceration … discrimination against people of color, and police brutality.”
The United States Soccer Federation has said all players must stand for the anthem before games.
Rapinoe said she would cooperate.
How nice of her.
Megan ranted on a little more about LGBT rights and this and that, noting that there’s “such a disparity in this country in so many different ways, inequality in so many different ways.”
Clearly, Megan is someone who doesn’t care about the thriving economy and low unemployment rate for her fellow Americans.
She’s a social justice warrior through and through.
After winning the Super Bowl over the Los Angeles Rams, a New England Patriots player immediately said he wouldn’t go to the White House to meet with President Trump.
Who saw thay coming?
Trump need not fret. It wasn’t star quarterback Tom Brady who made the comments.
“They don’t want me in the White House, man.”
