Two refugees from Afghanistan have been federally indicted for raping children and committing other violent sex crimes during their stay at Wisconsin’s Fort McCoy U.S. Army camp.

20-year-old Afghan evacuee Bahrullah Noori is being charged with attempting to engage in a sexual act with a minor using force against that person, according to a statement from the Department of Justice.

He has also been charged with three other counts of raping a minor.

The DOJ didn’t release details of Noori’s alleged victims but confirms they are all under the age of 16.

32-year-old Mohammad Haroon Imaad has also been arrested for violent sex crimes against women and children.

Additionally, Imaad is being charged with assaulting his wife by choking and suffocating her on September 17.

The wife also told personnel at Fort McCoy, where the family was being held, that her husband beat her “many times” in Afghanistan.

She said she was beaten to the point that she “lost vision in both eyes,” an FBI agent said in a charging document

The two have been removed from the base and are being held at Dane County Jail, according to reports.

If convicted, Noori faces a minimum of 30 years in prison and a maximum of life in prison for the use of force charge alone.

Imaad faces a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison.

Roughly 12,500 Afghans are being housed at Fort McCoy after being airlifted out of their country last month during Democrat Joe Biden’s military withdrawal from Afghanistan.

Another 60,000 evacuees are still being held overseas while they are vetted and processed.

Both Imaad and Noori cleared that vetting in order to reach Fort McCoy.

It’s not clear what status they had, though it’s likely they were admitted by Biden’s Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas under his power of humanitarian parole.

In the case of Imaad, his wife told soldiers at the base he had raped her at Fort McCoy.

He reportedly told her he would send her back to Afghanistan “where the Taliban could deal with her,” the FBI agent wrote.

The wife, identified only by initials B.I., also said Imaad also abused their children.

Security experts have complained about the massive numbers involved in the airlift, warning that there’s little chance to do the significant vetting.

Biden administration officials have acknowledged that forced child brides were brought to the U.S. by men in the airlift.

The Washington Times has also reported on a convicted rapist and a convicted aggravated robber who made it through overseas vetting and reached the U.S. Both were flagged by a Customs and Border Protection officer at Washington Dulles International Airport.

The airlift was sold to the public as a chance to evacuate Afghans who assisted the two-decade U.S. war effort, though Biden officials now say they brought out people who don’t qualify under that category, but who still needed evacuation.

The Biden administration has been unable to detail the numbers of people who did assist the U.S. effort, versus those who were airlifted out for other reasons.
