Trump to sign executive orders amid congressional deadlock on stimulus plan

by Paul Goldberg

President Trump will sign executive orders amid congressional deadlock on stimulus. The $600 weekly unemployment check will be cut to $400 under Trump’s executive order.

They are expected to include an extension of unemployment benefits, payroll tax deferment, deferment of student loan payments and an extended eviction moratorium.

Senator Lindsey Graham tweeted in response to Trump’s action “Great decision by President @realDonaldTrump to use executive orders to continue the federal unemployment supplement at the $400 level.”
