On Friday, President Trump took to social media to denounce Harold Schaitberger, head of the International Association of Firefighters Union, over his decision to endorse former Vice President Joe Biden in the upcoming election.
“The International Association of Firefighters Union in rebelling on their very foolish leader,” said Trump, who shared a link to a Facebook page for IAFF Union members supporting his re-election.
The president continued, “Perhaps they will vote [Schaitberger] out of office,” adding, “He doesn’t get it!”

Schaitberger’s decision to endorse Biden has elicited outrage from firefighters, prompting the formation of the Facebook group.
The group describes itself as “frustrated with our leaderships’ exploitation of our political capital to promote a political candidate [and] party whose values run contrary to those of our own.”
