According to reporting from NBC and the DailyBeast, President Trump may hold a rally in Florida opposite Biden’s inauguration, making a dramatic entrance flying in from Air Force One.
NBC also reports Trump may also formally launch a 2024 campaign on Biden’s Inauguration day because that’s when he filed for re-election in 2017.
Per Axios, if Trump goes forward with this plan it “could create a split-screen moment: the outgoing president addressing a roaring crowd in an airport hangar while the incoming leader is sworn in before a socially distanced audience outside the Capitol.”
Trump is not expected to attend Biden’s inauguration, call him or invite him to the White House.
Other reports have indicated that Trump could announce a 2024 campaign after the Electoral college meets on Dec 14th, which would still allow for January 20th to be a 2024 campaign rally.
