This was a powerful video from a man named Officer Jakhary Jackson of the Portland Police Department, what he had to say was powerful and exposes the racism of Antifa during the riots in his city. As Jackson describes what has been happening in his city you can hear the frustration and emotion in his voice.
Officier Jackson describes what it has been like dealing with Antifa. Jackson said that he found interesting that at the Black Lives Matter protest and that the officers had more diversity than the people in the “violent crowd.” He said that white people would be screaming at black officers “you have the biggest nose I’ve every seen.”
Jackson recalled that during the early protests it was a well-intentioned group that wanted change and then he saw them “get faded out.”
The Portland officer recalled incidents when a person of color from the protest would come up to the fence and what to talk with him about George Floyd. Jackson said as they were talking someone white would always come up and yell at the protestor and tell them not to talk with the police. He said that was one of the most “bizarre things.” Jackson described an encounter when a black female came up to the fence and asked him why he isn’t talking. He explained to the woman that every time he tries to engage with protestors a white person walks up and sure enough, the exact same thing occurred.
Jackson describes that one of his cousins went to attend a rally and after he saw what it was all about he left because he said “it wasn’t right.”
