Just weeks after the announcement the Biden administration made a humiliating reversal.
It turns out there is something less successful than CNN+, Biden’s Disinformation Governance Board AKA the “Ministry of Truth.”
Washington Post troll, Taylor Lorenz announced the White House debacle in a piece blaming “right-wing” attacks for derailing the Biden’s “disinformation efforts.”
Lorenz also announced that the Harry Potter-obsessed Nina Jankowicz who was picked to be the head of the Ministry of Truth resigned.
Just three weeks after it was announced the board has been disbanded.

“With the Board’s work paused and its future uncertain, and I have decided to leave DHS to return to my work in the public sphere. It is deeply disappointing that mischaracterizations of the board became a distraction from the Department’s vital work, and indeed, along with recent events globally and nationally, embodies why it is necessary,” she wrote in a statement.
Seven days before Jankowicz announced she would resign a video of her went viral discussing that she wants “verified” people like her editing people’s social media posts if the government doesn’t agree with them.

The decision to “pause” the board also happened on the same day Revolver News launched a series exposing that Jankowicz was part of NATO funded group that used social media to influence foreign governments.
The Washington Post correctly reported that it was conservative social media influencers like Jack Posobiec, Charlie Kirk, and Ben Shapiro that lead the campaign to stop the board.
Jankowicz was a strange bird, there are multiple videos of her singing bizarre Harry Potter-themed songs and Christmas parodies about her screwing her way to the top.
