Sen. Lindsey Graham on Wednesday reported that he is sending a letter to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and warned her that Senate Republicans will not impeach President Trump over his call with Ukraine.
During an appearance on Fox News Graham said that he getting other Senate Republicans to sign the letter to Pelosi saying they “do not believe the transcript of the phone call is an impeachable offense.”
“They’re about to destroy the nation for no good reason,” Graham said. “And I want Nancy Pelosi to know that Republican senators are not going to impeach this president based on this transcript, so she can stop now before she destroys the country.”
House Democrats are in a frenzy trying to impeach the President. The unofficial/official impeachment inquiry is centered around the President’s phone with the President of Ukraine. The transcript of the phone call was released by President Trump and it showed that no crime occurred.
The White House also ramped up its attack on Democrats sending House Speaker Pelosi a letter of their own saying, “You have designed and implemented your inquiry in a manner that violates fundamental fairness and constitutionally mandated due process,” and that the inquiry has “no legitimate basis.”
Senator Graham who is a very vocal ally of President Trump slammed Democrats on Wednesday saying they couldn’t “care less about fairness.”
“You have to have a vote to make it legitimate,” he added.
Graham announced on Tuesday that he is going to invite Giuliani to testify before his panel saying, “I think Rudy’s got a story to tell. I want him to tell it in my committee. He’d be respectfully treated,” Graham said during the Fox News interview. “At the end of the day, I am going to shed a light on all things Ukraine.”
Thank you, Senator Graham, do us a favor and smack Senator Romney in the head, hopefully, it will knock something back into place.
