According to a new A Harvard CAPS-Harris poll, the vast majority consider the surge at the border under President Biden a “crisis.”
Per the Hill “Eighty percent of the poll’s respondents said the current situation at the border is “a crisis that needs to be addressed immediately,” while 20 percent said it was “something that can be dealt with by the immigration system we have currently.”
54% who responded believe children were being treated humanely, 46% said they were being treated inhumanely.
“Roughly 170,000 migrants were apprehended at the U.S. southern border in March, marking a 15-year high. Additionally, 22,000 unaccompanied migrant children are currently in the U.S.” the report adds.
