Appearing on “This Week” House Speaker Nancy Pelosi set a deadline of Monday for a pre-election stimulus deal to take place. Drew Hammill, Pelosi’s spokesman, in a tweet Sunday, said “an array of additional differences as we go provision by provision that must be addressed in a comprehensive manner in the next 48 hours.”
Appearing on ABC Sunday with host George Stephanopoulos, Pelosi said “Are we going with it, or not? And what is the language?”
“The 48 only relates to if we want to get it done before the election, which we do,” Pelosi further explained.
NEW: “We don’t have agreement in the language yet,” Speaker Pelosi says when asked if they are closer to reaching a deal on COVID-19 stimulus negotiations, adding, “we’re seeking clarity” because Trump administration officials are “not legislators.” https://t.co/P6iz1jjwYE pic.twitter.com/wYtJv3jIye
