NY State Senate Majority Leader Andrea Stewart-Cousins said embattled NY Governor Andrew Cuomo should resign if a fourth sexual harassment accuser were to come out.
Speaking on Albany public affairs television program, “Capital Tonight,” Stewart-Cousins said “Any further people coming forward, I think it would be time to resign.”
Per the NY Post “Stewart-Cousins also told Arbetter that she could also call for him to step down after state Attorney General Letitia James completes her investigation into Cuomo’s behavior, however that review is not expected to be completed for weeks.”
Discussing Cuomo accuser Charlotte Bennett’s recent interview, Stewart-Cousins said in a separate interview “it’s heartbreaking in a number of ways. The fact that we are here at this time in 2021 really having this conversation.”
“I didn’t get a chance to see the entire interview but it’s clear that you know she’s traumatized in a profound way,” she added.
