House Speaker Nancy Pelosi gave an interview with NPR and stated she still does not want to pursue impeachment against the President but, wants to change the law so he can be indicted.
“I do think that we will have to pass some laws that will have clarity for future presidents. [A] president should be indicted, if he’s committed a wrongdoing — any president. There is nothing anyplace that says the president should not be indicted,” Pelosi told All Things Considered host Ari Shapiro and NPR congressional correspondent Susan Davis on Friday. “That’s something cooked up by the president’s lawyers. That’s what that is. But so that people will feel ‘OK, well, if he — if he does something wrong, [he] should be able to be indicted.’ “
“The Founders could never suspect that a president would be so abusive of the Constitution of the United States, that the separation of powers would be irrelevant to him and that he would continue, any president would continue, to withhold facts from the Congress, which are part of the constitutional right of inquiry,” Pelosi said.
For a second there I thought she was talking about former President Obama who constantly abused the separation of powers during the “Fast and Furious” and Benghazi scandal.
Pelosi also called the whistleblower complaint “very alarming” and said, “”If the President has done what has been alleged,” she said, “then he is stepping into a dangerous minefield with serious repercussions for his Administration and our democracy.”
Oh Nancy let’s be honest if the President did something illegal you Democrats would be all over it. This business about the whistleblower phone call is a big nothing burger. President Trump is not the first head of state to ever request anything like that and let’s be clear, Biden’s son is a criminal, he should have been investigated, and what the President did was not illegal.
Lastly, the Democrats better pay attention President Trump doesn’t mess around and I’m telling you right now the Democrats are shook and thats why they are so outraged.
