Mitch McConnell Finally Plays Hardball, May Subpoena Hunter Biden To Teach Dems A Lesson They Will Never Forget

by Paul Goldberg

Mitch McConnell just took off the kid gloves and told the Democrats to be careful what they wish for because he may give it to them.

Mitch just confirmed he may subpoena Hunter Biden to testify in Trump’s impeachment trial.

Now, Mitch has tried to be cool with the Democrats but they keep playing the fool and acting like they have control or leverage.

They don’t, so Mitch straught up told them that if they insist on calling witnesses like John Bolton or others who worked for Trump he will drop the hammer and bring in Hunter.

If you saw Hunter’s disastrous interview earlier you know he will bomb. Look, the Trump kids get some criticism for mixing business and politics but remember this always.

Hunter Biden and Chelsea Clinton made small fortunes with no-show jobs on corporate boards. They got those because people wanted access to their powerful parents.

The Trump kids work for the family company only. To my knowledge, they don’t sit on corporate boards other than certain charities.

Now that may change as things move forward but remember too they don’t need the money whereas Hunter and Chelsea did.

Chelsea made $9 million from one seat on the IAC board – more than enough she needs for her entire life and maybe her kids lives too.

What would any parent (like Hillary) do for setting up their only kid for life? If she is like most parents – she would do darn near anything because we love our kids and financial security is a gift that makes the troubles we all face a bit less painful.

From The Hill:

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) says Republicans could subpoena Hunter Biden to testify about his business dealings with a Ukrainian gas company if Democrats insist on having witnesses such as former national security adviser John Bolton testify at the Senate impeachment trial.

“We’ll be dealing with the witness issue at the appropriate time into the trial, and I think it’s certainly appropriate to point out that both sides would want to call witnesses that they wanted to hear from,” McConnell told reporters Tuesday when asked about GOP senators who want Hunter Biden, former Vice President Joe Biden’s son, to testify.

“When you get to that issue, I can’t imagine that only the witnesses that our Democratic colleagues would want to call would be called,” he said.

The GOP leader also noted “there is little or no sentiment in the Republican conference for a motion to dismiss” the articles of impeachment immediately, adding that “our members feel that we have an obligation to listen to the arguments.”
