Noem added “Debates are a critical part of the election process. The American people deserve the opportunity to contrast the candidates’ positions and intellect in an unscripted setting.”
Here is the full letter Noem signed and shared.
The Trump campaign is openly seeking to move up the first presidential debate to the first week in September, ahead of what is expected be a surge in early voting.
So far, Biden’s team has appeared reluctant to move forward the debates but have said they will show up to the 3 debates already scheduled on the dates scheduled.
