NBC and CNN are changing the rules because the President’s ratings during his coronavirus press briefings are mind-blowing.
The New York Times has reported that 12.2 million people watch the President’s nightly briefing on CNN, Fox News, and MSNBC – not counting the millions more that stream the briefings on the internet.
That means that President Trump ratings are equal to Monday Night Football games.
During these briefings, the President is spreading optimism about beating the “invisible” enemy and expresses his wish to get the nation back to normal as soon as possible. The President’s team is balanced despite the media’s attempts to divide them. Dr. Anthony Fauci and Dr. Deborah Birx are the cautionary doctors giving their point of view, the Vice President offers comfort and reassurance; the President has assembled a great team.
The American people approve of the way the President is handling the crisis and a recent poll shows they have no faith in the media.
A new Gallup poll shows that Americans approve of the way everyone is handling the coronavirus except the media.
Here’s is a breakdown:
- U.S. Hospitals: 88 percent vs. 10 percent.
- Your child’s school or daycare: 83 percent vs. 9 percent
- Your state government: 82 percent vs. 17 percent
- Your employer: 82 percent vs. 14 percent
- Government health agencies such as the CDC or NIH: 80 percent vs. 17 percent
- Vice President Mike Pence: 61 percent vs. 32 percent
- President Donald Trump: 60 percent vs. 38 percent
- Congress: 59 percent vs. 37 percent
- The news media: 44 percent vs. 55 percent
Which would make sense over why NBC and CNN are changing the rules for how they cover the President. Producers from both networks claim that they will start airing Trump’s pressers but, “might take it from the top and then cut away after the first lie, and return when the lies stop.”
CNN’s whiny Brian Stelter also posted, “As the coronavirus crisis deepens, the Trump admin is favoring Fox News and Turning down almost all other networks’ interview requests. It’s the politicization of a pandemic…”
CNN: We’re not airing his pressers with Fauci & Birx anymore
Also CNN: the big meanie won’t even talk to us anymore. https://t.co/viYEhH9sWo
