Here’s more information on the DOJ refusing to prosecute McCabe…

by J.C McCallum

In Politico’s write-up of the DOJ refusing to prosecute McCabe, they point out something of note:

McCabe’s lawyers were told last September that he should expect to be indicted on charges stemming from inaccurate statements he made to FBI investigators about his actions around the time of the 2016 election. However, no indictment was ever returned, leading to speculation that the Washington-based grand jury probing the matter took the rare step of rejecting charges.

Perhaps this wasn’t Barr and the DOJ refusing to prosecute, but the grand jury refusing to indict.

As Will Chamberlain points out:

As Politico writes, this is speculation. But it does indicate that there may be more to this story than simply Barr and the DOJ letting McCabe walk free.

I’ve argued already today that I don’t believe there’s any reason as of yet to lose faith in Barr. By all appearances it seems like he’s trying to do the right thing.
