Church of Sweden Proclaims Greta Thunberg an Appointed “Successor” to Jesus Christ

by Paul Goldberg

Even fans of climate activist Greta Thunberg might question if the Church of Sweden went a little too far in their adulation of her.

Washington Examiner reports The Church of Sweden declared teen star climate activist Greta Thunberg to be an appointed successor to Jesus Christ in a 2018 tweet that resurfaced in the wake of her speech before the United Nations.

“Announcement! Jesus of Nazareth has now appointed one of his successors, Greta Thunberg,” the tweet said on Dec. 1, 2018. The account, operated by the Limhamns Church, had previously tweeted several sentiments of climate activism.

The tweet’s reemergence came at the same time as Thunberg’s appearance at the United Nations earlier this month in which she sounded the alarm about climate change during a viral speech.

“My message is that we’ll be watching you,” Thunberg warned to a room full of world leaders. “You all come to us young people for hope, how dare you? You have stolen my dreams and my childhood with your empty words and yet I’m one of the lucky ones … We are in the beginning of a mass extinction and all you can talk about is money and fairy tales of eternal economic growth. How dare you?”

Ignorant child trying to school us in a topic that is well settled against her. Now dems expect the world will follow the advice of a child just like they thought we would follow David Hogg, lol what a joke. As far as saying Jesus appointed her as a successor, I wonder exactly what the Church of Sweden understands about scripture? Jesus is Lord and does not need any successor and this fake church would not know what Jesus teaches or who he appoints.

Sorry I didn’t include ;>) in my last comment. I like to use the Left’s words against them.

The world will end when God ends it. Don’t know the specific date but i’s close at hand since almost all of the prophecies have been fulfilled. Only a couple of more left but we still have a small amount of time for those who should accept him to come around. It’s ALL in His Word found in Scripture. Sadly there are few that believe it.

Which prophecies have already been fulfilled (regarding the last days)?

The movement to reunify the Protestant Churches under the Papal rule is recent. Kennith Copeland.

This article where Greta Thunberg is appointed “Successor” to Jesus Christ. by a Christian Church.

Christian churches and the government compromising God’s Word concerning LGBT. No God does not hate the sinner but the sin the sinner commits and churches/the government saying preaching the sinful act is normal and should be accepted.

Abortion of children in their mother’s womb as an acceptable practice.

The wilful breaking of man’s law in behalf of illegal aliens and sanctuaries set up for them. Yes, according to God, we are to follow man’s law unless those laws contradict God’s law.

Keeping the 4th commandment isn’t important and no it does not mean you have to worship in a church on Saturday.

That the world will be at peace but no peace shall be found. Wars, rumors/threats of war, criminal activity, rioting, violent political demonstrations.

The open scoffing of those who believe and their open persecution.

There are too many to list here.

Most of the prophecies found in Scripture have been fulfilled and only a few are left unfulfilled and when most of them are fulfilled it will be too late for those not already aligned with God to make their decision to follow Him.

I know you want more, but am wary of your sincerity, however even if I listed all of them, unless you accepted them on my word which I don’t advise, you most likely wouldn’t believe them anyway.

That’s why you need to study His Word for for yourself and not depend on what others say.

I study “his” word for myself. If you are going to intimate that the prophecies are fulfilled, you need to actually quote the scriptures along with the “fulfilled prophecies”, people have been saying for centuries that prophecies have been fulfilled, or are taking place at that very time. Whilst all of the prophecies regarding the coming of the “Leader of the covenant” were fulfilled in Jesus, the destruction of the temple and the apostasy that was already at work that went into “full tilt” after John have undeniably come into effect, the rest not so much. The so called “restoration of Israel” that people reference in regard to the 1948/9 formation of the nation that people call “Israel” is not, is not a fulfilment, as Jesus fulfilled the old covenant and the Law on his death. The new covenant that he brought was, according to Jeremiah at 31:31-35, “to be sown into their hearts and minds, not like the old one that you could not keep”, also repeated in Hebrews. FYI, the 10 commandments were under the old law and covenant, they were replaced with just 2. “Love God with your whole heart, and, treat your neighbour as yourself.
Many people have come and gone telling us of many events that were supposed to be fulfilled prophecies, that turned out to be wrong. We were forewarned to not listen to those “as though a letter from us that the Lords day is here, keep away from such people”, careful what you promote!

Yeah, right. Jesus would behave like a freaked out 16 year-old girl with a mental disability. I DON’T THINK SO!
