On Saturday, President Trump took to Twitter to slam mainstream media for their negative coverage of his tariffs against Mexico and China, noting that the “Washington Post got it wrong, as usual.”
Touting his efforts as a push to bring business back the US, Trump explained that the tariffs will bring China to the negotiating table, while explaining that tariffs against Mexico will continue until the country addresses the issue of illegal migration into the US.
Trump said tariffs will continue “unless Mexico stops the travesty that is taking place in allowing millions of people to easily meander through their country and INVADE the U.S., not to mention the Drugs & Human Trafficking pouring in through Mexico.
“Are the Drug Lords, Cartels & Coyotes really running Mexico?” asked Trump. “We will soon find out!”

The president’s supporters backed his decision, praising him for putting the American people over the interest of foreign nations while mocking Washington Post for its coverage.
