BREAKING: Republican Senators lead Dem rivals in new Georgia runoff polls

by Paul Goldberg

New polling conducted by Remington Research finds Republican Senators Kelly Loeffler and David Perdue leading their Democrat rivals in 2 key runoff races in Georgia that will determine control of the Senate.

Republicans currently have 50 Senators and need to win at least 1 of the 2 races in order to retain a Senate Majority.

If Democrats win both races, Kamala Harris as VP could potentially break a Senate tie with 50 Republicans and 50 Democrats.

Perdue leads by a larger margin with 50% support vs. 46% support for Jon Ossoff.

Loeffler edges rival Raphael Warnock 49% to 48%.

Titus Bond, the president of Remington Research group said “This is going to be 100% start to finish a base turnout election.”

“It’s going to be intensified. It’s going to be ideology from beginning to end. It’s all about getting the base motivated to vote again,” he added

Meanwhile, some Republicans are concerned that Democrats may try to move to Georgia in order to vote for the runoff elections.

Appearing on CNN, New York Times columnist Tom Friedman said to Chris Cuomo “I hope everybody moves to Georgia in the next month or two, registers to vote, and votes for these two Democratic senators.”
