Sunday morning, White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki tweeted:
I caused an unintentional ripple yesterday so wanted to state very clearly President Biden intends to keep FBI Director Wray on in his role and he has confidence in the job he is doing.
Per Politico “although the president had hinted he would keep Wray on for his 10-year term, questions had reemerged about whether he would stay on after the Jan. 6 riots at the Capitol.”

Rep. Adam Schiff said in new statement that he is glad to hear Biden will keep Wray on as FBI director, and said he looks forward to working with Wray on issues such as “the need to dramatically expand the focus and resources devoted to the threat of domestic terrorism.”
