With the Atlantic piece by Jeffrey Goldberg claiming Trump disparaged dead military service members dominating headlines, many Conservatives have looked in to who is behind the publication.
The Atlantic is majority owned by Laurene Powell Jobs, the billionaire widow of Apple founder Steve Jobs.
According to Andrew Kerr, the Atlantic’s majority owner has spent over $1.2 Million helping Democrats this cycle, and she reportedly communicates often with editor-in-chief Jeffrey Goldberg, who wrote the piece that caused a firestorm of controversy. Jobs has donated half a million to Biden.
I think this matters. Laurene Powell Jobs, the majority owner of @TheAtlantic, recently donated $500,000 to @JoeBiden. In May the magazine laid off 68 people, 20% of workforce, pitting her against staff. And @Recode questioned her commitment to #journalism. 5/21 #SourcesMatter pic.twitter.com/BD2eGCW3wx

In 2017, Jobs teamed up with Kamala Harris at an event.
